Industrial Advisory Panel

We recognise that continuing advances in Information and Communications Technology must be reflected in the continuous updating in our curriculum and teaching practices and in our research directions. The expectations and needs of business and industry have undergone significant change, with increased reliance on interpersonal, teamworking and presentation skills, outsourcing, business process re-design and the like.

The pace of change is unlikely to diminish and in order anticipate how the Faculty, our students and the University should manage these challenges creates a strong drive to consult with the major stakeholders in our activities. To this end, the Faculty has established an Advisory Panel to fulfil a more strategic role, advising the Faculty on developing its current taught course portfolio and research portfolio.

The panel is chaired by the Dean of Faculty, Professor Tim Ellis, and is comprised of a balanced representation of senior academics from the Faculty and senior industrial representatives. Current industrial panel members are:
