Research within CISM
Whether you are looking for a place to start a research degree or for expertise with which to collaborate, the faculty offers a community of highly motivated research active academics, bright and highly imaginative researchers and students, and excellent technical and administrative support. Much of our research focuses on real-world problems in partnership with Government agencies and industry as well as academics from across the world. Over the past few years, these partners have included the Cancer Research UK, Metropolitan Police, Home Office Scientific Development Branch, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, St George's NHS Trust and the Railway Safety and Standards Board as well as a wide range of industrial collaborators.
A large proportion of our staff are research-active, well-known and respected in their fields, publishing an impressive range of research, much of it internationally acclaimed. Many also maintain business and industry links or indeed are active practitioners of their subjects.
